Week 9: Digital Surrealism

The lecturer gave a talk about digital surrealism.

- Cultural movement focused on type of arts to express about the artist’s idea themselves.

- Defies logic

- Promoted free association and dream imagery

Dadaism

- An anti-war movement with satirical and nonsensical natured artwork

How to Start Creating Surrealism Artworks

1. Sketch it out

2. Find reference images

Mindset During Creation

1. "Does this look real?"

2. Make it happen to the best of your ability.

PROJECT 2 PROCESS WORK

Sketches

I redrew the earlier sketch to make the text more readable by writing it leaning left on the top and leaning right on the bottom.

I also drew a rough sketch digitally on Adobe Photoshop to see how the colours would work out.
