Task 3 Type Exploration and Application

Mythofolks
Mythofolks is a display font inspired by stories from folklore and mythology from across the world. Each uppercase and lowercase features a creature from various mythology and folklore on it while each number features the main figure from Greek myths on constellations. This font is used for graphic designs and historical sites like universities and museums was motivated by my interest in mythology.

4. REFLECTION

Experience
Throughout my time in Advanced Typography, I've experienced a lot of highs and lows which helped me to improve further in class. My friends and classmates have also been a great help as improve together.

Observations
I've gained an insight on font making and design and the intricacies that go into it. It showed me that font making isn't simply just drawing a random set of letters but require a lot of details to ensure consistency.

Findings
I've learned that context and personality can be imbued within fonts to show meanings outside of the ones in the text. You can really use fonts in a lot of ways other than just for typing.
